Estoril Sol Residence, completed in August 2010, is still currently one of the most controversial construction in Portugal, not only from its location but also due Gonçalo Byrne's bold architecture, and being to date the first and only building completely certified by LNEC. The entire façade was classified by LNEC on technical and acoustic terms, thus exceeding legal requirements.
(...) the first and only building completely certified by LNEC (...) on technical and acoustic terms, thus exceeding legal requirements.
Construction completed by a consortium between Edifer and Somague, exceeding 71 million Euros.
Lacoviana was totally responsible for the anodising of all the aluminium, meeting all requirements strictly laid down by Qualanod norms, namely loss of mass at 20g/dm² (set by Qualanod as inferior to 30g/dm²).
Aluminium production was supervised and certified by LNEC.
